34-year-old Argentinian midfielder is out of contract after leaving Inter Milan this summer.

The veteran Argentinian defensive midfielder, who is fast approaching 34 years of age, is said to be on the wishlist of his fellow countryman - and former international team-mate - Mauricio Pochettino, as Spurs' new boss aims to add some experience to a Spurs team whose average age of around 25 is much younger than most Premier League teams. Cambiasso was recently released by Inter Milan after having spent ten seasons in Serie A with the San Siro giants - a spell which saw him win five Italian league titles, one Champions League winners medal, one Club World Cup title and four Italian Cups. Consequently, not only would he bring experience to White Hart Lane, he would bring a much-needed winning mentality to a club that has struggled for trophies in recent years (the last being the 2008 League Cup, when they beat Chelsea 2-1 under Juande Ramos). Despite his obvious qualities, the move could be viewed as a strange one, given Spurs' abundance of central midfielders - they already have Paulinho, Mousa Dembele, Sandro, Nabil Bentaleb and Etienne Capoue who can play in Cambiasso's position - so we want to know what Spurs fans think about this potential signing. Would Esteban Cambiasso be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur? Are there better options available in his position, even bearing in mind his value for money as a free agent? Should Spurs be focusing on improving other areas of the team before even considering making a move for the veteran? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
