Spurs Transfer News: Michel Vorm Confirms Tottenham Move

Dutch international moves from Swansea and will compete with Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel for the jersey at White Hart Lane.

Michel Vorm has officially confirmed his move from Swansea City to Tottenham Hotspur in a Dutch newspaper today (via the Express). Vorm said: "Every club has two top goalkeepers in their squad. It suits the club's philosophy that there are two of us with Hugo and me, especially when we see that Tottenham is active in a lot of competitions." That makes the battle for the number 1 jersey very interesting at White Hart Lane with three quality keepers all fighting to be between the sticks. New manager Pochetinno will have to pick a goalkeeper from Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm and veteran Brad Friedel. Vorm, 30, joined the Premier league in 2011 after signing from Ultrecht and had a fantastic opening campaign for Swansea City. The Dutch shot-stopper kept 13 clean sheets from 37 games and won three club awards in his first season as he scooped the Supporters€™ Player of the Year, Players€™ Player and the Away Player awards. Who would your number one choice be for Spurs this season? Is strength in depth for goalkeepers healthy or could it be risky?
