Spurs Transfer News: Nani On Loan Deal Interest?

Manchester United's out-of-favour winger Nani is reportedly a loan target for Tottenham Hotspur - according to the Evening Standard. The Portuguese international has made just five league starts for the league holders this season, and is looking to find himself more game time with the 2014 World Cup approaching in the summer. Despite Manchester United boss David Moyes having offered the former Sporting Lisbon man a deal at Old Trafford until 2018, he's only been allowed a paltry amount of appearances this season, and is now behind Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Adnan Januazaj, and new-boy Juan Mata in the pecking order. Spurs face stiff competition for the 27-year old's signature, with Serie A giants Inter Milan & Juventus also reportedly interested. A number of summer-signings and existing squad players have failed to force their way into the first-team on a regular basis at Tottenham this season, and as a result have been linked with moves away from White Hart Lane - with midfielder Lewis Holtby joining Fulham on loan, and Ettiene Capoue having been linked with a move to Napoli. Subsequently, manager Tim Sherwood is looking to Nani to offer him another attacking threat on the pitch, as his Tottenham side push for a Champions League place this campaign.
