Spurs Transfers: £24 Million Man Utd Duo Lined Up?

Spurs want Javier Hernandez and Marouane Fellaini.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly lining up a sensational double swoop for Manchester United pair Javier Hernandez and Marouane Fellaini. New Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has been keen to strengthen his attacking options all summer, with a host of players having been linked to White Hart Lane since his arrival, and he is now looking to bring in the striker and midfielder from Old Trafford. The former Southampton boss is known to be an admirer of Mexican international striker Hernandez, who has scored an impressive 59 goals in 152 appearances for United since joining the club after the World Cup in 2010. He also thinks Belgian Fellaini can add some power to his midfield - both defensively and offensively - and will be particularly keen to sign him after numerous attempts to sign his former Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin have failed. He has made just sixteen Premier League starts for United since his £27.5 million move from Everton last summer. Most fans will tell you that another striker is needed at White Hart Lane, as only the inconsistent Emmanuel Adebayor, the off-colour Roberto Soldado and the young and inexperienced Harry Kane are currently on the club's senior books, but the need for a central midfielder is less obvious, with Paulinho, Mousa Dembele, Etienne Capoue, Sandro, Lewis Holtby, Tom Carroll and indeed Christian Eriksen all capable of playing there. But Pochettino obviously has his own vision and sees both Hernandez and Fellaini as worthwhile additions to his squad. What do you think of this rumoured double bid? Would Hernandez and Fellaini be welcomed at White Hart Lane? Would they be an improvement on what Spurs already have? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
