Spurs Transfers: 4 Shock Moves AVB Could Make Before Window Shuts

4. Gary Hooper

Though Norwich have been heavily linked with a move for the former Spurs youth player, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that Celtic's hot-shot striker might return to his former hunting ground instead of joining up with Chris Hughton's side. That's according to the Daily Record, who suggest that Hooper's camp are expecting a move from North London for the English striker, who would prefer a move back to Spurs. He would certainly offer a solution up front, where Tottenham feel particularly light, and he would also likely come in for a relatively low price, compared to other names suggested in the press. He has scored an impressive 74 goals in just 118 games, and though the level of football is not the same, that remains an impressive return. The Daily Record suggest he would cost around £8million, which would not stretch the Spurs budget too far, even despite AVB's ascertion that they wouldn't be signing anyone this winter. The promise of goals might be exactly what he needs to change his mind. Source: Daily Record
