Spurs Transfers: 5 Alternative Strikers AVB Should Sign

5. Romelu Lukaku

lukaku An unlikely candidate for a permanent switch, given his potential, but surely worth a punt for a loan spell at Spurs if Chelsea aren't going to use him in their own first-team squads next season. Lukaku has been fantastic for West Brom on loan this season and looked a real threat against Tottenham at White Hart Lane early on in the campaign. A real physical presence and as strong as an ox, Lukaku has bagged an impressive 12 goals in 25 appearances so far for West Brom. This is a better ratio than Fernando Torres at his parent club, however, and in having such a good record despite playing at a lower club he may have given Chelsea cause to bring him back for their own use. He is still only young, however, and at 19 years old Chelsea may want to send him out for one more season. Tottenham would be a step up from West Brom and this kind of move should not be ruled out.
