Spurs Transfers: 5 Centre Backs To Replace Jan Vertonghen

If the rumour mill is to be believed, Jan Vertonghen may have played his last game for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club - at least under current manager Tim Sherwood, but possibly in general. The Belgian international defender has fallen out with the current boss and had apparently already grown disillusioned with life at White Hart Lane - a notion backed up by his body language in recent matches - and is now out with a calf injury anyway. Even if he returns for the last few matches, he might not find himself on the pitch thanks to his relationship with Sherwood and, amidst interest from a number of clubs that are said to include Liverpool, Barcelona and Manchester City, he could be on his way out of White Hart Lane to somewhere he is more likely to get Champions League football next season. Despite his recent poor performances, Vertonghen leaving would be a huge loss to Spurs who could really use some stability going in to next season after a year of transition following on from last year's influx of new signings.
