Spurs Transfers: Memphis Depay Focused On PSV

Dutch World Cup star refuses to discuss potential switch to White Hart Lane.

Dutch international attacking midfielder Memphis Depay - a well-known Spurs target this summer - is refusing to discuss a potential move to White Hart Lane, insisting on focusing on his PSV Eindhoven career at the moment. According to The Daily Star, Depay told Dutch news outlet NOS in no uncertain terms that he didn't want to discuss his future, saying the following:
People have asked already hundred times about my future, so I don't want to talk about it any more. We will see, but for now I am a player from PSV.
Depay certainly seemed focused on his career in his homeland at the weekend, as PSV recorded a 3-1 victory over Willem II, scoring two of their goals and performing admirably. Mauricio Pochettino is a known admirer of the player and was reportedly keeping tabs on him even prior to his impressive showings at this summer's World Cup. He is said to be plotting a £15.8 million bid for Depay, who is also an apparent target of Manchester United - which makes sense given that Louis van Gaal is the new boss at Old Trafford and was in charge of Depay's Netherlands team prior to taking over the Red Devils' hot-seat. So far, Spurs' spending has been fairly modest this summer - in fact, they've brought more money in than they have spent - with only Michel Vorm, Ben Davies and Eric Dier coming in. As a result, fans are certainly hoping there is still a marquee signing on the way and Depay could be the man to finally fill the gaping void left by Gareth Bale's departure last summer. Are Spurs in with a realistic shout of signing Depay? Do you think he'd be a good fit for the club an could perform well in the Premier League?
