Sunderland Transfer News: Black Cats Battling For Peter Odemwingie

Sky Sports have reported that Sunderland are among five Premier League clubs interested in signing West Bromwich Albion striker, Peter Odemwingie. The 32-year-old has been prolific so far for The Baggies, but he is said to be pushing for a move after his infamous trip to Loftus Road back in January when he tried to force through a transfer to Queens Park Rangers. West Brom look set to cash in on him while they still can with a bid of £1.5 million seemingly enough to start negotiations off. The Black Cats have recently brought in U.S. Mens National Team star Jozy Altidore to pep up their attack, but it is understood they are looking now for players with Premier League experience. The Nigerian fits the bill scoring 30 goals in 87 games Premier League for West Brom. The midlands club have yet to secure the striker's future with only one year to run on his contract so renewal looks unlikely. Hull City, West Ham United, Fulham and Crystal Palace are all also said to be interested in signing Odemwingie
