The midfielder confirmed his "dream move" to the European champions after Germany's 1-0 win over Argentina at the Maricana. The 24-year-old enjoyed an excellent World Cup, and starred for his country by scoring two goals and creating four assists - making him the competition's leading creator. He had been linked with a move to a series of clubs, including Manchester United, but confirmed after the final that he'd be swapping Munich for Madrid. Madrid were linked with the player a number of weeks ago, but at the time Kroos refused to comment on his club future as he was concentrating on the World Cup. But now he has lifted the lid on his long-term future, revealing that he will be moving to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. He told UOL:
€œWe€™ve finished the World Cup in the best way possible. Now I€™m going to Madrid, so that€™s two dreams achieved."
The move will be viewed as a coup for Real, who have seen fierce rivals Barcelona spend £75 million on Luis Suarez this summer. Kroos is considered one of the best midfielders in the game, and starred for Bayern last season as they retained the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.
