1. Germaine De Randamine (8-3) Vs. Aspen Ladd (8-0)
The main event matchup between Germaine de Randamine and Aspen Ladd will likely determine the next challenger for the UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship.
Germaine "The Iron Lady" de Randamine is former UFC Women's Featherweight Champion who has since decided to re-enter the bantamweight fray. She is an elite striker with an extensive combat sports resume. Prior to entering the UFC, she was a professional kickboxer with a perfect 37-0 record. The 35-year-old also has victories over former champ Holly Holm and former title challenger Raquel Pennington.
24-year-old Aspen Ladd is one of the UFC's top prospects. She's an excellent grappler with great takedowns and her striking is continuing to develop. She has a perfect (8-0) record and is 3-0 since entering the UFC in October of 2017.
Ladd has been on fire as of late, but de Randamine represents a major step up in competition. The 24-year-old has yet to face a striker as talented as "The Iron Lady" and looked very hittable in her most recent bout with Sijara Eubanks.
The outcome of this fight will likely be determined by whether or not the talented prospect is able to get her opponent to the ground. The former champ doesn't have much of a grappling pedigree, so Ladd should have a distinct advantage on the mat. However, "The Iron Lady" has defended 89% of the takedowns that have come her way, so a good portion of this fight will probably be contested on the feet. A standup battle should heavily favor the undefeated kickboxer.
