UFC Fight Night: Shevchenko Vs. Carmouche 2 Predictions

5. Rodolfo Vieira Vs. Oskar Piechota

While Rodolfo Vieira's name might not ring a bell with many MMA fans, anyone who follows jiu-jitsu will know exactly how good he is. Of all the fights on this card, this is probably the most cut and dry breakdown to do.

Oskar Piechota has to keep this fight standing at all costs. There are no two ways about it and there's no other way for him to really win the fight. It's important for Piechota to keep Vieira at distance, so look for him to utilise his jab and plenty of movement around the cage.

If Piechota doesn't do that and allows Vieira to get close enough to grab hold of him, then it no longer becomes a question of if he can submit the Polish fighter, but when and how he can submit him.

A lot of world class grapplers come into MMA and big things are expected, but often times they can look lost as they can't get their jiu-jitsu going. Judging by his performances on the regional circuit, Vieira shouldn't have that problem. Look for him to begin his UFC career in impression fashion with a tasty submission victory.
