UFC On FOX 12: Lawler vs. Brown Main Card Predictions

The UFC returns to action with UFC on FOX 12: Lawler vs. Brown this Saturday!

Fox12 Live from San Jose, California, UFC on FOX 12 (though it's still being called Fight Night by the UFC, it's a UFC on FOX event) features the billed main event of Robbie Lawler vs. Matt "The Immortal" Brown, a welterweight title eliminator which will determine who meets champion Johny Hendricks in the octagon later this year. In a co-main event that also holds possible title implications, recently returned light heavyweight Anthony "Rumble" Johnson meets "Lil Nog" - Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. It's new breed against old guard in this bout, and it might not last long. Rounding out the four-fight main card are matches between the popular Clay Guida against Dennis Bermudez, and Josh Thompson versus Bobby Green, in his first fight back since the murder of his younger brother. Whether Green can keep his focus in the cage remains to be seen, but it will no doubt be an emotional night for the lightweight fighter, and Josh Thompson is a tough out for just about anyone at 155lbs. Wisely sticking with four fights for the main card given that it's on the main FOX channel (their timeslot is likely fairly rigid on the big channel), this is a card that may just fly by, and offer some explosive action. Can the UFC hit three home runs in a row, after the recent success of UFC Fight NIght: Cerrone vs. Miller and UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Brandao? That remains to be seen, but for now, lets take a look at what fireworks could go off, and who could emerge victorious from UFC on FOX 12: Lawler vs. Brown!
