Another Brock Lesnar?

UFC star Fabrício Werdum has revaled he is to meet with WWE representatives later this week over a possible move in to the squared circle.

The former UFC World Heavyweight Champion, who boasts a wealth of experience in various fighting disciplines, believes he can work for both companies simultaneously. This would mirror an arrangement previously afforded only to fellow mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar.

Werdum is quoted as saying by MMA Fighting: ”I’ll have this meeting Thursday in San Diego to see if something happens with WWE. It’s cool, a unique opportunity to do a few fights there as well," adding that marrying the two careers together would be "no problem".

At 40, his plans to take up wrestling from scratch are ambitious to say the least, but the Brazilian is under no illusions about the difficulty of the task at hand. "It’s not easy as some people might think," he said. "You have to be well trained and practice a lot to captivate the audience."

Werdum was speaking ahead of his headline match later this month at UFC London, where he will take on Alexander Volkov.
