Debutant Raheem Sterling missed the chance to score on his debut after breaking clear on goal only to see his shot saved by Myhill.
West Brom's only real chance fell to James Morrison who headed straight at Joe Hart from a Chris Brunt cross. Silva and Toure were too much for the Baggies to handle and Man City were by far the Premier League's stand-out performers as they battle to get their crown back. WBA boss, Tony Pulis later admitted he got his tactics wrong by playing with two strikers.
