West Brom Transfers: 5 Strikers To Replace Romelu Lukaku

5. Fabio Borini

Opening up the countdown at 5, the 22-year old Italian had his first season at Liverpool significantly interrupted at Anfield and could become the newest face arriving at the Hawthorns. With an eye for a goal as demonstrated by this summer's Euro U-21 Championships, he could turn out to be the right man for the job at the Hawthorns, as he appears to have all the attributes that Lukaku has: pace, power, vision and strength (he wasn't in the team of the tournament for nothing). Clarke could use him, should he arrive, as a attacking winger position, cutting inside, in a possible 4-3-3 formation with Long on the other wing and Anelka in the middle as well as being deployed in the centre should that need arise. Brendan Rodgers has bolstered his striking options with the signings of Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto. Furthermore, should Luis SĂșarez stay, he could be viewed by Rodgers as 5thchoice behind SĂșarez, Sturridge and the two young Spaniards mentioned above. This could mean that he is surplus to requirements and encouraged to go somewhere else to find regular football whether that be in a guise of a loan or a permanent switch.
