The Premier League So Far

The Darts Premier League has just finished its twelfth week and with the players travelling to Liverpool on Thursday for the penultimate set of matches before the semi-final spots will be decided, it's all to play for. Following on from Liverpool the players will entertain the crowd in Newcastle before arriving in London for the play-offs to see who will be crowned Premier League Champion 2013. With a new format, that saw the world's top 10 players rather than the standard 8 of previous years, the 2013 Premier League has been the most exciting in the competitions history. The crowds who have consistently packed out arenas around the British Isles have been entertained every Thursday night by top quality darts, including a 170 checkout by James Wade in Manchester. This new format saw the bottom two players, Gary Anderson (10th) and Wes Newton (9th), eliminated after poor performances left them at the foot of the table by the end of week 9 in Brighton. The remaining 8 players, including the ever realiable Phil Taylor and the lightening fast Michael van Gerwen, are currently fighting it out for a top 4 spot come the end of the night in Newcastle for the chance to play in London and hopefully lift the Premier League trophy later that evening. In the following pages I will discuss the form of remaining players in the Darts Premier League and decide who will be the top dog during the play-offs! Click 'Next' to start!
