World Cup 2014: 6 England Players That Shouldn't Go

Choosing a World Cup squad is always difficult, especially when there are several options to choose from. However, too often in the past we have seen a squad that has been biased based on players with a high reputation, rather than actually picking a squad on merit or based on real analytical data. I'm not going to actually pick a squad in this piece, but rather highlight some players that shouldn't get selected. These six players should be omitted based on issues around age, form or simply quality. We have heard from many people that England lack the quality to challenge in Brazil as well as comments on the climate. Overall, I tend to agree with those comments, so Brazil 2014 should instead be used as an experiment to plan for the future. That means, in my view, to get some players in the side that have talent, but haven't had the international experience up to this point. I will be hinting at some of those players throughout this slideshow. So, let's get started...
