8. Mixes
Mixes are one of the core offerings of the new Myspace. The are essentially photo albums, but with a twist. You can add more than photos. In your mixes, you can add music, videos, and photos all into one collection. Myspace’s new informational source, AskMyspace says, “It’s hard to say what exactly they are because, with some creativity, they can be anything.”
As you begin to fill out your profile, several default mixes will be made for you. These include your Profile Mix, Cover Mix, and Stream Mix. Each will contain profile pictures, cover photos, and connected songs, respectively.

Just a note on the “7. Profiles” screenshot.
Profiles do NOT look like that, sadly.
That is all.
You’re right! Our mistake!
@warren: You’re right! Our mistake!
You’re using Myspace Classic in nearly every image that you uploaded.
As this was my first article, the editors posted it for me. I’ve contacted them about replacing the images.
I enjoyed your article Jacob. Informative and interesting. Thank you :)
I’m actually looking forward to giving this a shot.
I would hope this would move some people back to MySpace from the Facebook fan basis. I have a Facebook and I never really liked it because other than putting ‘Covers’ on your profile, I never felt much personalization.
Also MySpace within the past few years became more media centered improving itself for all forms of media based users. I think this is something Facebook lacks, Sure it has its ‘Like’ pages but other than that, there isn’t a whole lot of media options, other than to link you off-site and to another website.
With the New MySpace, I think they might make a significant comeback eventually, especially among the more media based members such as myself. I look forward to this and had a great time reading this article.
