New endings give a greater sense of closure to a fantastic series and there is less to distract from the magnitude of your achievement.

Move character, set character to attack. Move another character, set them to special. End Turn. Noooooo a penguin kicked my ass!

The game had a lot of potential, but poor Kinect controls made it painful to play. More accurate motion controls would drastically raise the games score.

This handheld affair was a welcome return to Lego simplicity, especially in the game's set up and led to me having fun with the franchise that I'd got snippy with over recent instalments.

Quantum Conundrum never takes itself too seriously and delivers a superb game for a minute fee. Definitely worth your time.

It isn't revolutionary, but when the main game was as good as Arkham City, that isn't necessary.

In short, it's a whole lot of fun, without any concerns for political correctness or appearing high-brow (in the true spirit of the zombie genre), though it's far from unflawed, and some might seek something with a little more finesse.

The game is nothing new, but for what it is, it's quite good. By handling its overall "averageness" to the best of its abilities, the game manages to be a very pleasant overall experience, although it's hardly memorable.

It doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel but it does everything Mortal Kombat and it does it well. It's fun, it's fast and it's good ol' MK mean. Vita and handheld fighters seem to be a fine pairing and MK adds to the catalogue of options well.

Burning Skies is a flawed and almost failing flagship, and we will have to wait for the first great handheld FPS, because despite the strength of the franchise, and some good core elements, this is not it.

A good expansion to an already large universe with something for players old and new to sink their teeth into.

Future Soldier is an intelligently crafted, hugely rewarding shooter that pays due attention to former Ghost Recon titles, and rewards exactly what the player puts into it.

Top Gun: Hard Lock is far from terrible: it offers sparks of entertainment, especially in the new Hard Lock system, and it offers a fundamentally engaging gameplay experience. There's just not a great deal to shout about.

Fable fans will enjoy seeing familiar heroes from the series make a cute puppet return here, but the RPG elements have been swapped for simple hack and slash instead and whilst fun it's a little too repetitive to warrant several replays.

Max Payne 3 is a game that grabs your attention and refuses to let go. Rockstar has found a way to seamlessly combine storytelling with gameplay that creates an experience like nothing you have ever seen before in a video game.
