5 Attractions Universal Orlando Should've Kept

Universal Orlando Going on from Parts I and Parts II of this series, here now are five attractions Universal Orlando should've kept...

5. The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera

Funtastic Hanna Barbera The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera was a simulator ride at Universal Studios and one of the park's original attractions. It featured numerous characters from Hanna-Barbera-produced shows and the storyline was that Dick Dastardly and Muttley had kidnapped Elroy Jetson, so Yogi Bear gave chase along with the audience - who were in for the ride of their lives. In the queue, clips from the ever-popular Hanna-Barbera kids shows were shown on television screens - such as Huckleberry Hound, The Flintstones, Yogi Bear and The Jetsons, as well as more modern shows, such as SWAT Kats and The Powerpuff Girls. The next part of the pre-show was a supposed animation demonstration, in which guests were informed of Hanna-Barbera's upcoming projects. Dick Dastardly appeared, demanded to be a part of their next project and, when they refused, he kidnapped Elroy. Guests then entered the main theatre and were seated in a rocket ship with Yogi as the captain. They travelled through various famous Hanna-Barbera locations, such as Bedrock, and through a cemetery over Scooby Doo's Mystery Machine, before apprehending Dastardly and saving Elroy. It was great fun with the timeless characters of Hanna-Barbera - some of whom are still very much active today - and it was a huge shame when it was replaced by Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast in 2002 (which has itself been replaced by Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem).
