Being 27, unemployed and cut off from financial support from his family, Arata Kaizaki is stuck in a hole with no foreseeable way out. After witnessing the suicide of his senior at work and deciding to leave when he couldn’t stand how her death was treated, Arata is left to lie about his life to old friends and stumble home drunk.

Fortunately, a strange man on the street gives him a once in a lifetime offer: take this pill and go back to high school to regain your enthusiasm and confidence. Skeptical at first, but with no other options, Arata cuts his losses and takes the pill. Waking up with a face ten years younger, Arata is sent back to high school and immediately stands out on his first day when he gets caught with a pack of cigarettes.

Now he has to remember how to act like a normal teenager, while also making friends and helping out the troubled youths around him, including a socially awkward honors student. It’s a great story about getting back into the world, escaping depression and trauma.
