9. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Based on the manga series written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki, Jojos Bizarre Adventure follows the lineage of the Joestar family, a family of supremely gifted individuals who are tasked to overcome powerful, superhuman opponents, each seemingly unrelated to the last. Though each arc of the show follows a new member of the Joestar family, there are several overarching characters that tie the otherwise unrelated parts together; such as the recurring villain known as Dio, and the second Jojo, Joseph Joestar.
The show begins as a story about vampires and Hamon, a mystical energy force that grants its users incredible powers over natural forces, such as air and water. In the third arc of the show, Hamon is replaced by Stands, strange creatures that form interdependent relationships with their human symbionts, granting them astonishing powers in the process.
