10 Best Aaron Sorkin TV Characters

President Bartlett Aaron Sorkin is one of the finest screenwriters out there. Now that The Newsroom is back, and our televisions are blasting the mellifluous repartee of Aaron Sorkin, we are reminded of some of the great characters he has written on television. There is no doubting that Sorkin€™s writing style has a unique brand to it. And what€™s arguably frustrating about The Newsroom for die hard Sorkinites, is that some of the actors have a hard time performing the lines in the same organic way that others before them have (pretty much everyone on The West Wing). We€™ll take a look at Sports Night, The West Wing, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, and The Newsroom, and find the characters who jump off the screen and make us remember why Sorkin is one of the greats (and of course, much recognition to the actors who performed the roles as well.) There may be some spoilers ahead, so if you€™re not caught up on all of Sorkin€™s shows, avoid reading the paragraphs.

I'm currently getting my masters in Writing and Publishing in Chicago. I usually fill my time with marathoning great television. My favorite shows are The Sopranos, Mad Men, Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Wire, Lost, and so much more. Count on me to write mainly about television.
