10 BEST Celebrity Cameos In Friends

Some of the most memorable faces to grace Central Perk.

Alec Baldwin Friends
NBC

It's hardly an overstatement to say that Friends is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time.

Given its massive popularity during its original run (not to mention how it maintains its popularity today), it's no surprise that it attracted some big names in its day.

Some of the biggest names from many different industries had parts in the show - whether musicians such as Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders, A-list movie stars like Bruce Willis or Gary Oldman, or even models such as Jill Goodacre or Elle Macpherson - the list of celebrity cameos goes on and on.

Some were forgettable, some were hilarious, some were adorable. The show's 10 year run not only gives us a long list of names to choose from, but it also manages to make some of the earlier cameos feel a little like stepping out of a time machine. Because let's be honest, who knows Jill Goodacre for anything other than the time she was stuck in an ATM vestibule with Chandler Bing?

10. Brad Pitt

Alec Baldwin Friends
NBC

Brad Pitt appeared in season 8 episode "The One With The Rumour", and his cameo in the show served more than one entertaining purpose.

At the time, he was in a relationship with Jennifer Aniston, although his character Will was the co-founder of the I-Hate-Rachel-Club, and also started a rumour that Rachel was a hermaphrodite.

It wasn't too long later that their real life relationship ended, making it a little uncomfortable to watch, but still funny nonetheless.

Pitt slots perfectly into the show, convincingly playing Ross' lifelong friend, and he worked brilliantly within the show's dynamic.

He delivered the sort of cameo that made fans wish that he would make another appearance, but his one-shot performance as Will made for a deliciously awkward and hilarious episode.
