9. Jax Kills Clay
This would be a really interesting twist of fate. Ultimately, I don't see it benefiting the story much if at all, but it would certainly keep us, the viewers, on our toes! One way that it could work, and could benefit the story is as follows: Following on from Opie's death in the latest episode, Jax fails to keep his cool and despite the fact that he needs Clay alive to secure the Galindo deals, kills him anyway. At this point in his life, Jax has to feel like he has very little left to live for he's found out the man he looked up to as a father killed his real father, his wife and mother are on the verge of killing each other, his former junkie ex-wife wants custody of his kid, and now he's lost his best friend. Does he still give a damn about a RICO case? Would he mind life in prison? If this does happen, I see it as being a season ender, because I assume that by time the truth about Galindo has come out, the rest just doesn't matter any more. Imagine for a second, the closing shot of the season Jax, smoking Glock in hand, standing over Clay's corpse, as Tara is standing behind him with the faintest of smiles. It would certainly keep me hooked during the 9 month wait for season 6.
