10 Categoric Reasons Why Doctor Who Is The Best Show Ever

But there's probably loads more.

If you've clicked this then there's a big chance that you don't need any more convincing. You're a Whovian and your mind has been made up a long time ago. Because, let's face it, Doctor Who is simply the best sci-fi show you have ever watched. You're happy that, in recent years, it has gone up from cult status to an incredible mainstream popularity and, should a Church of Doctor Who ever be legally established, you'd be the first to apply for the post of 'High Priest and Keeper of the Sacred Relics of Rassilon'. Yes, you and millions of other counter candidates from around the world (hi, there!). But let's just pretend for a few minutes that you're new to this. You've heard of Doctor Who and roll your eyes every time your friends arduously debate about it as if their molecules were held together by the show's cannon (one slip, and they disintegrate into oblivion). So what if at some points the Doctor was said to be half-human or the Daleks were implied to be robots? It's just a damn show after all, can everyone just move on and get on with their lives, please!? The answer you're most likely to hear is: "No! No, they can't." Because Doctor Who fans don't just watch it (of course they don't that would be silly!), they live, breathe and dream it, and here are just 10 reasons that might just turn you from non-believer to neophyte. You'd certainly be in good company.

Adrian Serban lives in Bucharest, Romania where he has studied screenwriting and film criticism. But it's not all about artsy European dramas for him, as he's also a fan of horrors, kung-fu flicks and sci-fi films of all eras. Monty Python and Doctor Who are two British institutions that changed his life for the better. Or so he thinks.
