10 Characters Who Must Return For 24: Live Another Day

24 Back in May, Fox made one of their few intelligent creative decisions and announced that hit show 24 was coming back for a 12-episode half-series called 24: Live Another Day. Kiefer Sutherland is, of course, returning to play his signature role of Jack Bauer, though much still remains under wraps. What we do know is that it will likely not be a direct continuation of Season 8 - where Jack found himself on the run from both the U.S. and the Russians - but presumably take place some time later with a whole new storyline unfolding. The real-time gimmick is also being ditched to allow more freedom. Mary Lynn Rajskub, who played Jack's confidante Chloe O'Brian on the show, has been announced to be returning, and though by its constricted nature this new series won't be able to fit many other familiar faces in, here are 10 that absolutely need to return, either because we just miss seeing them on the show, or because they've got a dangling plot thread that desperately needs tying up...

10. Aaron Pierce

Next to Jack Bauer, there was no character as badass and thoroughly good as Agent Aaron Pierce (Glenn Morshower), a steely Secret Service agent who spent most of his tenure during the show protecting high-value targets, such as Presidents David Palmer and Charles Logan.

He is also distinguished as the only character other than Bauer to appear in the first seven seasons, and though he didn't die (again, a distinction few other than Bauer have), he was disappointingly left out of the eighth season.

Though he might not be as agile as Bauer, there's no doubting the man's skills on the field, and his absolute, 100% commitment to whatever is the task at hand. A fan favourite character for sure, season eight didn't feel the same without him, and seeing him team with Jack again would be an awesome sight indeed.
