10 Chilling TV Title Sequences That Will Keep You Up At Night

WARNING: Contains mannequins, clowns and the darkest depths of your imagination...

TV title sequences are wonderful things. They set the mood of the show, drawing audiences back into the world these characters inhabit on a weekly basis. They can have an evocative theme tune, clips that present some of the highlights of the show or powerful imagery that draws on the themes and story lines presented. A great TV title sequence can sell a show and remind returning audience members what they love about it. Some of the best TV title sequences are remembered more vividly than the shows themselves, particularly the scary ones. If you want to have your audience tense and uncomfortable before the episode has even begun, the title sequence is a great place to do that. Halloween might have passed but with dark, cold nights upon us we look at some of the most chilling TV title sequences committed to the screen. Some are more blatant than others; evil clowns, monsters and deformed figures are all great ways to frighten the audience. But some of the most successful are far more subtle, tapping into your darkest imagination and letting it run riot. Sometimes what goes through your brain can be far more scary than anything presented on the screen. So wrap up warm, get a nice mug of cocoa and prepare to be given the chills as we present 10 chilling TV title sequences that will keep you up at night. Click NEXT if you dare...
