10 Doctor Who Actors Who Have Appeared In Blake's 7

10. Stephen Greif

Stephen Greif was the original and the best Travis, Servalan€™s embittered henchman. Travis is especially picked by Servalan on account of his relentless quest for revenge against Blake who was responsible for his horrendous facial injuries. He is later viewed as a liability due to a series of blunders. His only television appearance in Doctor Who is as the former prisoner turned governor, Constantine Ethelred Gurney, in the animated David Tennant adventure The Infinite Quest. There is a deleted scene from this story in which another of Greif€™s Doctor Who characters, Kwundaar (from Big Finish Fifth Doctor audio Primeval) is referenced. Kwundaar is a Great Old One, a pre-universe entity and rejected wannabe god to the people of Traken. Once again Grief is magnificent as he portrays another character driven by a desire for revenge against the people who twisted his form. Greif plays the role in an understated and all the more menacing manner with his softly spoken voice complemented by a haunting theme. One for the Doctor Who aficionado with its heavy continuity references penned by the author of Ahistory, Lance Parkin. Greif also appears as a recurring character in three Sarah Jane Adventures audios. Here he plays Donald Wakefield, a British billionaire. A member of the White Chapter of the Orphans of the Future, he believes that aliens will be the salvation of the human race and enlists Sarah Jane in his efforts to reach the stars. It's worth checking out this wonderful but tragically curtailed series of audios.
