10 Doctor Who Episodes That Would've Made A Great Movie

Leaving a big impression on the small screen.

Ah, Doctor Who on the big screen. It's what Whovian dreams are made of, right? They haven't even had to dream it in recent years, either, thanks to the BBC's cinema screenings of 'event' episodes such as 2013's 50th anniversary special The Day of the Doctor and the Twelfth Doctor's debut outing in Deep Breath last year. They're still waiting for the announcement of that bonafide Doctor Who film, though, and it looks like the TARDIS is closing than ever to materialising in a movie theatre near you, if the ongoing behind the scenes murmurings are to be believed. It's safe to say that the show's format lends itself to a cinematic expedition and, while the possibilities for a feature-length escapade are quite literally endless, the writers wouldn't necessarily have to look that far in their journey to transfer TV's favourite Time Lord to the big screen. Most of the episodes these days are constricted by the confines of Saturday night teatime drama so it's about time their ambition was realised to its full potential. As such, here are 10 Doctor Who episodes that would've made a great movie. Because sometimes the small screen is just too small...
