10 Episodes That Made You Quit Your Favourite TV Shows

10. Life Of Brian (12.6) - Family Guy

Family Guy Life of Brian
Fox

Chances are that, at one time or another, you were into Family Guy.

Most people experienced a point in their lives, however brief, where they outwardly enjoyed this show, which makes sense - it used to be really funny. As the years pressed on, however, something changed in the Family Guy mentality. You probably don't watch Family Guy anymore, and you probably can't really remember when, exactly, you stopped.

It stands to reason that it was around the time that the show decided to kill off liberal pooch Brian Griffin in a cynical attempt to boost ratings (only to bring him back a few episodes later, by the way). This marked the point at which any creative standards linked to the show were shown the door; not only did the showrunners take back Brian's death, but the whole thing felt like a slap in the face to anyone still actively watching Family Guy at that point.

And so, Life of Brian, the sixth episode of the show's twelfth season, gave viewers a good enough reason to finally bail out on Seth MacFarlane's once great sitcom.
