Some of the most famous (and infamous) characters in pop culture history are aliens: The Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise, the titular Predators in the Predator franchise, superheroes such as Superman and the Silver Surfer, as well as the generic Martians that have appeared in so many alien invasion movies. In terms of television aliens, the focus seems to be (mostly) on the more likeable aliens - the kind you'd welcome in to your own home (or at least not be absolutely terrified of if you were to encounter them!). So, I've been thinking about those aliens who have graced our television screens over the years and which ones we all have a soft spot for, for one reason or another.
