The Fall television season is upon us and that means new seasons or new series of shows to enjoy. While there are several new shows this season, very few seem to offer any sort of excitement or reason to look forward to them. Returning series, on the other hand, look to be some of the most talked about of the television season. This isn't really too surprising as returning shows usually get a bit more traction than brand new ones due to the following it garners over its previous season(s). In celebration of the upcoming season here are ten shows, some new, some returning, to be excited for this year.
10. The Blacklist
Admittedly, I'm not too excited for this series just yet. Its trailer gives away everything that is going to happen in its premiere every step of the way and it really looks like Silence of the Lambs With Spies. That being said, The Blacklist's premise still sounds a bit interesting and James Spader may turn out to be its saving grace. He's a good actor and people may tune in simply to see him before his turn in Avengers: Age of Ultron. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9_qgX7pTlc NBC seems to be bankrolling on this drama being their main hit this season, but it is going to have to take some convincing from me. As I said I wasn't too impressed with the trailer and I don't think I'm the only one unimpressed since I've spoken to and seen other people commenting on the cheesy and Hannibal Lecter-like aspects the show has. It is a new show though so it will need time to find its footing and own identity.
