10 Fixes That Would Improve The Big Bang Theory

More Bazinga!

What was once one of the best sitcoms on TV had slowly become stale, boring and predictable. Towards the end of season 7 many voiced concerns about the problems facing the show and, surprisingly, it seems that the writers took heed. Most of the complaints have been addressed, or are at least being looked at, and 7 episodes in to season 8 there are definite improvements. Having Sheldon off on a journey of self-discovery was the perfect opportunity to give the character some much needed polish and maturity. But despite hinting at a potential change in his and Amy€™s relationship, the writers seem to have pulled back and fallen into bad habits. The writers don€™t seem to be sure what the show stands for anymore and although some episodes have explored more interesting issues like friendship, gossip, how women are viewed in society and gender roles, these are often tackled insensitively or hit wide of the mark. Everything is there to make The Big Bang Theory great once more so that it can end the next two seasons with, and please forgive this, a bang. Let€™s see what can be suggested to give it a much needed jolt in the arm.

I.T. Consultant, technophile and Doctor Who fan. I like to talk about tech, take films apart and make excuses for Doctor Who's continuity errors. No other show has the power to make me feel like a big kid.
