It's a very rare and beautiful thing when a book franchise takes over pop culture and makes the world its oyster, as Game of Thrones (or A Song Of Ice and Fire) has clearly done. Five seasons in and it's still one of the most successful television shows in the world. Whether it's the ever-expanding cast, the shocktastic controversial content, drama-fuelled story line or epic death scenes that make it so successful is anyone's guess, but it's one hell of a series, and very few can argue that fact.

Because of its popularity, Game of Thrones was bound to attract a lot of attention from the start - mainly the attention of popular comedic YouTubers and the fact that the show takes itself so seriously does not mean it can escape the stronghold of comedy.

Once the stage was set, millions of parody videos, tributes and even home-made trailers made their way to the internet. Some were good, some were bad, and others were downright awful.

So to save you endless amounts of time filtering through all the rubbish you might find, this list has summed up 10 of the most hilarious Game of Thrones related videos on Youtube, purely for your entertainment. Be warned - TV spoilers are ahead.

10. Game Of Thrones Season 3 - "Princess Bride Promo"

In the original film "The Princess Bride", a grandfather (played by Peter Falk), decides to read a book to his sick grandson (played by a young Fred Savage) which turns out to be The Princess Bride, of course.

In the 1987 film, he tells the boy that the book contains torture, revenge, monsters and giants - which isn't far off from Game of Thrones, wouldn't you say? In this comical skit though, it's been edited so that grandpa isn't talking about The Princess Bride, but about Game of Thrones.

Young Savage is shocked to find out about Ned Stark's beheading and just wants to know when the prince (King Joffrey) will die and who will kill him. "Nobody kills him, he lives," grandpa tells him. This obviously upsets the little boy a lot when he yells: "Jesus, Grandpa - what did you read me this s*** for?" It's too funny to miss.
