Picking out the most iconic moments from this legendary comedy sitcom is like choosing between which of your favourite snacks you want to take to the cinema, as there's always going to be some you have to leave behind.

There are so many memorable and hilarious moments sprinkled throughout Friends' ten season run that you could probably find at least one per episode. Still, there are some that have stood the test of time and risen above the rest.

The frequenters of Central Perk Café have been through so many adventures, mishaps and relationships that you can track how they grow and learn as the show continues. Watching the characters become different people is a delight, and there are certain key moments that help them along the way.

These coming scenes are the ones that captured the spirit and popularity of this show best, giving a healthy dose of humour, heartbreak and emotion. If you're a fan of the series, then you certainly will adore these moments, but even those who've never seen Friends might be able to identify one or two of them.

10. The Routine (The One With The Routine)

Celebrating the new year (or "fake new year", in this case) is always an exciting time that makes your inhibitions and insecurities fade away. Still, for this iconic brother/sister duo, maybe they should have felt a little more embarrassed.

In this scene, the Geller siblings are dancing on the set of Dick Clark's New Year's Rocking Eve and fighting to get themselves placed onto a platform so they'll get some screen time. To attract the attention of the selection guy, they bust out a dance routine from their youth, and it's an overwhelmingly goofy, ridiculous and hilarious time.

The dance itself was memorable enough, but Ross and Monica's arrogant stroll towards the man deciding who dances atop the platform was the icing on the cake. For the second-hand embarrassment and the raucous amount of laughter it caused, there's no doubt "The Routine" deserves its place here.

Adding even more hilarity to this scene is the fact that the dance itself was choreographed by the founder of the Pussycat Dolls, Robin Antin. So it looks like Ross and Monica really did hit the A-list with that one.
