10. Multiple Catchphrases
Catchphrases are amazing - it's a fact. Every show needs a few catchphrases which make the audience get into the show faster, and in How I Met Your Mother, catchphrases are present in plenty. Whether it's Barney being 'awesome', or Marshall's 'lawyer-ed', How I Met Your Mother has plenty of catchphrases which make the show lively and interesting. Imagine a show with no catchphrases. Boring, right? Exactly. A show with no catchphrases would be dull to watch, and there would be no punchline or any modification of the catchphrase, simply because there would be no catchphrase, and it would be terrible to watch. Therefore, catchphrases add to the show, and How I Met Your Mother contains a plethora of them, just to make the viewers happy. Simply put, the catchphrases make the show legen...I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the word is...dary!
