10 Reasons Why You Should Be Watching Miranda

9. The Writing

miranda3sized Miranda, first and foremost, is a comedian. Before the sitcom, she came out with a very similar program for the radio- Miranda Hart's Joke Shop, which she wrote herself. Of course, as with all TV, Miranda doesn't write the show on her own, but she has writing credits on every episode, which makes the "semi-autobiographical" aspect of her show even more believable. So when I say the writing is good, I really mean that her own life seems hilarious and appropriate for conversion into a sitcom, which is rare and admirable! It takes a brave woman to base a TV show with a clumsy, love-less main character after their own life. It almost reminds me of 30 Rock in that way, by a personal favorite TV woman of mine, Tina Fey. The writing is different but Miranda really has its own style, in which the stories thrive each episode.
