10 Reasons You Absolutely Have To Watch Better Call Saul

7. It's A World Where Mike's Alive, And He's Not Happy

In direct contrast to all of the preceding deaths in Breaking Bad, Mike Ehrmantraut's demise was subdued and ultimately dignified; he even managed to raise a wry smile with his final words. But now the inscrutable fixer is back. It's weird to see him festering in a car park toll booth, but there's no mistaking that steely glare - Jonathan Banks could make Mike intimidating if he was dressed as Little Bo Peep. So far his role has been more like a cameo, restricted to increasingly comedic spats with Jimmy about validation stickers. Rest assured he steps up to a main supporting role about halfway through the season, when he returns to true form in an illuminating Mike-centric episode. Bob Odenkirk has deemed it a "powerhouse" as dark as anything you ever saw in Breaking Bad.
