10 Rebooted TV Shows That Were Better Than The Original

The original Beverly Hills, 90210 ran all throughout the 1990s for nearly 300 episodes. It was a teen sensation and it spawned a generation of similar teen shows, where wealthy, beautiful, and privileged teens date and then break up with other wealthy, beautiful, and privileged teens throughout high school. It was a look into the drama-filled lives of the super-rich, and while the show was very popular at the time, it doesn’t exactly hold up to today’s standards of teen shows.

When the show was rebooted as 90210 in 2008, the series kept the wealthy, beautiful, and privileged teens aspect, but it brought with it a new sense of realism that made the show less cheesy and more rewarding than its predecessor. Freed up from the strict family-focused nature of 90s television, the new 90210 was able to focus on real issues without resorting to wrapping everything up neatly at the end of each episode.

While the show still isn’t for everyone, those looking for a good teen-focused show could do worse than this well-shot, well-acted drama that proves every pool party in a mansion has its own dark underbelly.
