10. He Is A Descendant Of British Nobility

The youngest of five children born to Patricia CA Tricia and Andrew Cox, the new Daredevil is actually descended from British nobility on his father's side. In fact, as well as his paternal ancestors including the noble figures of the 6th Earl of Lauderdale (Sir Andrew Agnew, 7th Baronet), the 4th Earl of Findlater (James Ogilvy) and 4th Baronet Sir David Carnegie, he is also descended from Royal Navy captain Frederick Lewis Maitland, who successfully defended Savannah, Georgia, against a French and American siege in 1779. As if that wasn't enough to convince the world of Cox's impressive heritage, he is also descended from Andrew Elliot - who was the British Colonial Governor of New York in 1783. It seems that Cox really is destined for a place among thespian royalty if his ancestry is anything to go by...
