10 Treehouse Of Horror Segments The Simpsons Should Produce

It's that time of year once again, when the show that makes you chuckle goes for chills.

It's that time of year again. October. Halloween time. With the holiday fast approaching we'll be seeing all manner of ghoulies and ghosties, horror flicks will be dumped into cinemas to turn a quick buck, and older slashers and fright films will be re-run on television for the hundredth or so time. And of course, we'll get the annual Treehouse of Horror episode from The Simpsons. Treehouse of Horror started out way back in the second season of The Simpsons, and premièred on October 25th, 1990. Over two decades later, the annual Halloween episode remains one of the series most anticipated entries of the season. This year, in a particularly inspired twist, the family will meet an earlier version of themselves, the Tracey Ullman Show version, from back when The Simpsons appeared in just small segments on her variety series. Curious, and it got us thinking about the yearly special. It seems like every October someone comes up with a €œ10 Best Treehouse of Horror Segments/Episodes€ list, and while it€™s always fun to take a look back at what the show has covered in the past, we€™ll instead propose ten ideas for future Halloween themed segments. These could be sourced from film, television, literature, history, etc. While it's easy to look at how much The Simpsons have covered over their run, when it comes to material ripe for parody on a Treehouse of Horror outing, there's lots more ground left to cover. So lets take a look at ten segments The Simpsons should produce next for their annual fright fest!
