10 TV Shows You Should Be Definitely Watching In 2014

C'mon, it's not like you have anything better to do.

We're all utter suckers for those lazy days in which we do nothing but stay in our pyjamas, drink tea and marathon an entire TV show. But then comes the awful feeling of finishing the show and not knowing what to do with our lives... watching numerous episodes of a show back-to-back is nothing to feel bad about, though, as it actually grants us a wonderful break from the routine of normal life and we are able to escape into the world and lives of others. Actually, it's a nice way to relax and re-charge! 2013 brought us some thoroughly gripping seasons in drama and comedy television and thus we have endured the pain of Christmas-hiatus! With the new year beginning, we are promised bigger and better surprises and fans have gathered their ingeniously thought-out predictions (and some just straight-up crazy) about what is to happen next in their beloved TV-shows. While this list is potentially endless, there are a number of TV shows which strictly cannot be missed in 2014. Here are 10 of them...

10. Girls

Girls is growing more and more in popularity, especially as of the end of last year. This show is a comedy which follows the stories and experiences of a group of friends living in New York, trying to find their feet financially, romantically and mentally. It portrays a satirical and arguably exaggerated depiction of girls' lives in Brooklyn and has been described as a new, refreshed version of Sex and the City. What makes the show addictive is, even if you do not admit it, it's really relatable! Lena Dunham, who writes the show as well as stars as lead character, Hannah, produced the show on the basis of embracing girl problems and has since been referred to as the "Queen of Comedy." If you particularly favour television that isn't afraid of taking risks and transforms the awkward into comedy, then this one's definitely for you. Endorse yourself in the female world and have a few laughs along the way!
