10 TV Shows You Need To Stop Sleeping On

At least one of these should fill the void left by Game of Thrones.

American Gods
Starz

All good things must come to an end. This sentiment tends to hit home a lot for dedicated TV viewers and serial bingers alike because eventually, their 30-60 minute weekly escapes will have the credits roll for a final time. Whether a show's a massive hit or destined to be a cult classic the dreaded series finale is always inevitable. Then comes the daunting task of replacing one's favorite episodic obsession.

Starting a new show is almost like starting a new relationship. It's a big commitment to make, and no one wants to get involved in something that will only disappoint in the end. But the best part of filling that void today is that there are a lot of titles that people are sleeping on out there right now.

Nobody wants to be the last person on the bandwagon and having something get spoiled early is a painful experience. To avoid that trauma, it's probably a good idea to figure out what's worth watching quick.

Of all the great things occupying screens, here are the TV shows that need to be moved to the top of the queue immediately.

10. Succession (HBO)

American Gods
HBO

HBO fans looking for a new weekly fix need look no further. There is an absurd harrowing dramatic comedy that has terminations feeling as grim as executions and business moves playing out like a dark tale of espionage.

Succession is arguably one of their best new shows in recent memory that most have not had the pleasure of seeing yet. This program not only offers a smorgasbord of wealth porn for audiences to feast their eyes on, but it also gives a dramatic look into the murkiest depths of the coveted one percent

What's great about this series is no matter how unrecognizable their lifestyle seems, the baggage they ultimately carry is just as mundane and ridiculous as most regular people have. These vile characters whom you love to hate are often reduced to cartoonish antics which makes this Shakesperian dysfunctional family story all that more addicting.

The excellent performances from the likes of Brian Cox, Kendall Roy, Kieran Culkin, and Sarah Snook are what truly make this one stand out. Even Alan Ruck from Ferris Bueller's Day off shows he's still got it. Succession's first season is available to binge now with a followup season coming later this summer.
