10 Voice Actors You Probably Didn't Notice In Live Action Roles

10. Maurice LaMarche - The Facts Of Life

Maurice LaMarcheNotable Roles: Brain (Pinky and The Brain), Morbo/Kif (Futurama), Egon Spengler (The Real Ghostbusters), Mr Freeze, (Batman: The Animated Series), King (Frozen). For anyone 40 and under, it's highly likely that Maurice LaMarche has been involved in your childhood in some way or another. No, I'm not insinuating that he was actually there babysitting you or anything, but rather that LaMarche has voiced a character (or ten) in almost every animated TV series from the 1980s onwards; from Chief Quimby in Inspector Gadget, to the Grand Master Wizard in Adventure Time, plus pretty much every secondary character in Futurama. LaMarche is arguably the most active voice actor in America and has been since his stand up comedy days over 30 years ago. His success is in part due to his ability to impersonate celebrities such as Orson Welles and Alec Baldwin (as evidenced in Team America: World Police), which can be seen in 1987 in a season eight episode of the US sitcom The Facts of Life. In this Halloween themed episode, titled Seven Little Indians, LaMarche makes a very rare appearance in front of the camera and steals the show as he pops up sporadically and narrates to the audience in a spooky manner, evoking memories of the likes of Vincent Price. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYQ3PA_oqJM#t=130 This episode appears to be LaMarche's only live action role to date and also guest stars future Batman George Clooney (which is interesting because LaMarche voices the animated Mr. Freeze. That's interesting, right?)
