10 Ways Clara Could Leave Doctor Who

10 ways the Impossible Girl could leave our screens...

This article will contain spoilers from the episode guide recently published in the Radio Times. As well as sporadic bursts of new information from the BBC, just before the start of Series 8 the standard tabloid rumours about Doctor Who started cropping up. When it comes to Doctor Who, the easiest rumour to print is that either a Doctor or a Companion is leaving. And since suggesting that Peter Capaldi is already jumping ship would be stupid even for the Daily Mirror, they instead put out a story that Jenna Coleman will leave during this year€™s Christmas Special. Since the tabloids are notoriously bad with Doctor Who rumours and often just make stuff up (like suggesting that Billie Piper was in the running to play the Eleventh Doctor), it€™s best to take this €˜news€™ with an entire ocean€™s worth of salt. But there also might be something in it. Jenna Coleman may have only done thirteen episodes so far but Series 8 and the Christmas Special will take her total up to twenty-three (a not inconsiderable amount for a New Who Companion), and it is coming up to two years since her debut in Asylum Of The Daleks. So it may very well be the case that Clara and the Doctor will be parting ways soon. Particularly since, in an interview on ITV€™s This Morning, Coleman did nothing to quash the rumours and said that she enjoyed the speculation. So in case the tabloids have got it right for once and Jenna Coleman will be moving on, we€™ve come up with 10 ways Clara could leave the Doctor...
