8. The Mother (How I Met Your Mother)
Yes, I know that with the closing moments of season eight and the entirety of the final series, the mother of Ted Mosby's children is going to finally make her presence known, but we have had eight years to learn little tidbits about a major character that we haven't actually seen. After all the woman Ted has dated (Victoria, Stella, Zoey, crazy Jeanette!) it is
this woman that he chooses, a woman so special he gives up smoking two weeks into dating her, stays in New York (we assume), giving up a great opportunity in Chicago, finally gets married and has two children with her. And what do we know about her? She is an economics student who loves poetry and is a mean bass player. She's went to same same St Patrick's Day party as him. She has that infamous yellow umbrella and she laughs at his (shellfish) jokes. The show has built her up to be a great TV character. Now we're finally getting to see her on screen, let's hope she is!
