10. You Lack The Patience For Small Talk
If you're anything like Gunther, talking to anybody for anything outside of your own reasons is a no-go. Which means that all small talk is officially banned, and you're not afraid to let people know how uninterested you are in their problems. That's to say, each and every time we got a glimpse of Gunther on Friends, he looked as though he might have been mentally plotting his own suicide. Nope: Gunther has no time for the likes of Ross, Joey, Chandler, Monica and Phoebe, despite the fact that they've probably kept him in business since... well, forever. Rachel? Well, she's a different story.
9. You Can't Escape The Feeling That Everyone Is Having A Far Better Time
Ever felt like the background character in your own life? Imagine how Gunther feels, then, having witnessed every event to have ever occurred in the lives of Friends' six main characters whilst they were sat in Central Perk - and then some! Despite the fact that Gunther seems to be something of an afterthought when it comes to the gang, they still invited him to pretty much every one of their New York-based parties and celebrations. And there Gunther lurks, waiting in the wings, convinced that everyone else is having a far better time than he is. And it's true.
