12. Chad Coleman

Tyreese was one of the few characters to break the fringe character 'mould' and was an excellent addition to the group during his time on the show. Too many characters arrive into proceedings but aren't given a lot to work with. Tyreese was an exception. Chad Coleman put on a fantastic display as the gentle giant. He was a strong, strong man but was far more gentle than many others in the group. His scenes with Carol and the kids were excellent, and his death episode was a real showcase of what Coleman could do.
